Organizations may book this program for one or more cohorts of 4-6 participants whose roles involve presenting data, insights, perspectives in professional settings (research and evaluation, quality assurance, innovation, change, etc.).
The participants immerse in an active exploration of clear and engaging presentations. As part of a small group, they apply sound design principles to planning presentations including visuals, practice clear and engaging presenting, and share perspectives. This course offers a practical and playful approach to finding one's presentation style, and discovering ways to continue refining and advancing it.
Over four weeks, participants engage in self-directed study, reflection, setting intentions, and presentation practice. The opportunities to practice presenting in a small peer group takes place in 'live' Zoom sessions in which participants take turns making short presentations and sharing perspectives and feedback. These 'live' sessions are scheduled one week apart to give participants the time to reflect on each presentation practice, consider peer feedback, and revisit their notes (journal) as they plan and prepare for their next presentation practice.
By engaging participants with a range of experiences in learning together, this course goes beyond the foundational principles of effective presentations. Participants tend to find that the course brings them inspiration and sparks their curiosity, promoting joy in continuing to explore, reflect, and evolve their practice as leaders in their area of work for years to come.
